  This church rents our several homes near its parish. My family leased a home for two years from the United Pentecostal Tabernacle. The landlord is also the pastor for this church. In relation to the property, we found him to be neglectful and manipulative when it came to money. When we moved in, the dishwasher was broken and he made several excuses about not having time to install it over the span of months, until we gave up asking for it to be fixed. A basement window was broken, allowing rodents to enter the home, and it took him over a month to respond to the problem (not fixing the window, but giving us a trap to catch the rodents). When we moved, he stopped returning our calls and did not return our deposit until I mentioned legal action, and even after, he was deceitful regarding the amount he needed to deduct. I would caution anyone to not rent property from the UPT.
